We planted our cotton plants outside on May 9th, the day after Mother’s Day. It’s the rule of thumb we try to follow. Well, we are happy to report they are growing like weeds and loving our hot Baltimore weather.
This year our cotton plants are battling a new intruder, the dreaded ants who have cordially invited their aphid friends to join them. The ant/aphid issue seems to be contained to one planter with the green and brown cotton. So, despite the ant/aphid invasion, the cotton plants are measuring between 11-13 inches in height.
